Lewatit MP62
Lewatit® MP 62 is a weakly basic macroporous anion exchange resin with monofunctional tertiary amine groups, low basicity, and a standard particle size distribution. Its high total and operating capacity, combined with excellent mechanical stability, make it very suitable for demineralization systems, especially in combination with a strongly basic anion resin when low silica leakage is required. Thanks to its macroporous structure, Lewatit® MP 62 can effectively adsorb and desorb naturally occurring organic substances (high resistance to organic fouling).

Lewatit® MP 62 is mainly used in the following areas:

» Demineralization of water in once‑through processes of industrial steam generators, or in modern countercurrent process systems such as Lewatit® WS system, Lewatit® Liftbed system, Lewatit® Rinsebed system.

» Removal of organic substances from water (especially surface water).

Note:

To avoid loss of active resin during the backwash step (due to its low density of 1.02 g/ml), it is recommended to perform the first backwash only after at least 2–3 operating cycles. This minimizes the risk of active resin loss. Ensure that the linear flow velocity during backwash does not exceed 3 m/h (with 100% freeboard!).
